Can you use Retinol and Peptides together?
Absolutely! Retinol and Peptides work wonders together! Retinol for Texture and Peptides for Repair. Retinol works on speeding up cellular turnover smoothing and evening out the surface of the skin whilst Peptides work on the structure of the skin promoting collagen production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles for a firmer complexion.
How often can you use Peptides?
Unlike Retinol, there is no limit on how many times you use Peptides within your routine. The more peptides the better!
What is the difference between Peptide K8 and Total Repair Cream?
When it comes to ingredients and results these products are both extremely similar. Total Repair Cream is a slightly updated formula with additional wrinkle support and is formulated without D5 Silicone and TEA. However, we understand how many Peptide K8 lovers there are out there, including Kate herself, so Peptide K8 is still available to purchase for those that are wanting to stay with their much loved K8 formula.
Do you need to use the Serum and Moisturiser together?
The serum and moisturiser can be used individually but for best results we recommend using as an Age Repair System. The Firming Serum contains Tripeptide 5 which penetrates the deeper levels of the skin to stimulate collagen production followed by the Total Repair Cream containing Hexapeptide 12 which is Ceramide infused to work on wrinkle smoothing and barrier repair. Saying this, we understand some people may already have a moisturiser they love in which case incorporating the KateCeuticals Serum alone would be great. Or alternatively, someone who uses minimal products and is looking for 1 product to do a little bit of everything, the Moisturiser would be a great option.
What are the benefits of Peptides in an Eye Cream?
Not only is the eye area 50% thinner than the skin on the rest of the face needing a lighter weight formula, it is also the place we first start to see signs of ageing, therefore Peptides are key to plump and smooth those fine lines. Not only does the Firming Eye Cream contain the 2 Peptides mentioned above (in the serum and moisturiser) it has an added peptide that is found in snake venom that relaxes muscle contraction helping to reduce creasing around the eye area (a.k.a. Botox Bottled). A must have product for first signs of ageing!
Can I use this range if I have oily skin?
Absolutely! KateCeuticals is for all skin types. However be mindful that the Total Repair Cream is a richer texture. If you prefer something more lightweight we would recommend layering the Katecuticals Serum with Oil Free Moisturiser or a lighter weight moisturiser of your choice.
What age range is this collection best targeted towards?
Anyone who is concerned with fine lines and wrinkles and wanting to plump and repair their skin. The peptides within KateCeuticals are also great for preventing first signs of ageing.
If I can only buy one, what one product would you recommend buying?
For first signs of ageing I love to recommend the Eye Cream. The Eye area is the first place we start to notice fine lines and wrinkles so a great product when starting out with peptides. Alternatively, if you are looking for a great all rounder and to keep your routine minimal the Total Repair Cream is a skincare cabinet must have treating all signs of ageing with just one pump!
